About Alliance Defending Freedom
The Alliance Defending Freedom is a 30-year-old, international, non-profit organization. They are dedicated to securing religious liberty landmark victories in the U.S. Supreme Court and other courts worldwide and advancing religious freedom in public policy debates at home and abroad. ADF is a non-profit legal organization based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Michael Farris and Jay Sekulow founded it in 1997 as the Alliance Defense Fund.
Alliance Defending Freedom is one of America’s most respected civil rights organizations today, before the courts and in the halls of power. They speak out on behalf of the unalienable right to practice one’s faith and the dignity of all human beings. Their seven-member legal team has written over 300 briefs for the U.S. Supreme Court, won countless appellate cases and numerous federal and state issues, and served on over 100 amicus briefs in various cases, from family law disputes to assisted suicide.
