Yanni Hufnagel
Yanni Hufnagel is an American entrepreneur, former college basketball coach, and the president and founder of the Arizona-based Yanni Group. He is also well-known for his numerous entrepreneurial endeavors that have changed many aspects of American life, including transportation, finance, education, health care, and basketball.
- Basketball
Hufnagel was a member of the UCLA Bruins men’s basketball team. During this time, he helped them to win two consecutive NCAA Division 1 Men’s Basketball Championships under head coach Larry Brown. This made Hufnagel a member of the first back-to-back NCAA tournament championship teams in history. After his coaching days, Hufnagel returned to California, where UCLA High School All-Americans recruited him for the 1997-1998 season. He coached at that school for only one year.
- Lemon Perfect Company
In 1998, Hufnagel founded Lemon Perfect Company, which sells health and beauty products from organic ingredients. The company’s products are made from organic ingredients and delivered in recyclable containers to eliminate plastic bags for consumers. By 2006, Lemon Perfect Company had established regional offices in San Diego, California, and Ann Arbor, Michigan. The company has also expanded its business to include an online store.
- Philanthropy
Yanni Hufnagel is a philanthropist who has donated his time, energy, and money to various philanthropic causes, including the Yanni Foundation, a non-profit organization that works with underprivileged children. In addition to Hufnagel’s charitable activities, he is a member of the Board of Trustees for the United Way and a former president of the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.
