Yubo Collaborates with The Diana Awards to Combat Cyber Bullying
With technological advancements, cases of cyberbullying are on the rise and being reported daily. This is being affected mainly by the young generation, according to reports from the Cybersmile Foundation. As a result, the young age feels like they are being neglected and have nowhere to run to.
Yubo emerged to address and help solve these cases of cyberbullying. The French company was co-founded in 2015 and has risen to operational in 140 nations. It also thrived on having 60 million active users. The Yubo company recently partnered with non-profitable organizations to equip the youths with relevant information on combatting the cyberbullying problem.
The Diana Awards conducted a survey involving an average of 1500 children, teenagers, and adults. From the results, 42 percent were willing to share their cyberbullying experiences, while 58 percent were adamant and not ready to talk. A large percentage of parents confirmed that most people facing cyberbullying are the younger generation. The findings also found that lack of parental guidance and supervision is a significant cause of cyberbullying, often due to home usage of the internet.
