Steve Hutensky

In entertainment Steve Hutensky is known as the comic mastermind. He is an accomplished comedian, writer, author and the founder of a few successful corporations including Laugh Factory Comedy Club and Laugh Factory Network, which both he operated as CEO until October 2005 when he sold them to Graham Holdings. In January 2011, his latest company Fringecare was launched with Michael Stevens of HBO’s Silicon Valley on board as COO.

Steve Hutensky is also a talented songwriter and singer who made his debut in 1991 with the single “Fade Into You” from the album “The Secret Language of Songs”. His songs have been featured in films such as Saw IV, The Game Plan and Yours Sincerely Valentine.

His song “I Don’t Think It’s Heavenly” from the album of the same name was chosen to be in the trailer for The Game Plan, and “The Right Kind of Love” was featured on The Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack. Steve has won numerous awards for his songwriting including BMI’s Songwriter of the Year Award.

His latest album, “I Know I’m Not Wrong”, is his first release in five years. He recently performed at Carnegie Hall with Carly Rae Jepsen, whom he met on a 6-year-old plane ride to New York City. He is also a published author and wrote “The Last Night In Paris”.

In 2006, Steve published a book of Made Up Stories called “The Last Night In Paris”. The book was an instant success and has been translated into several languages. The book is about a young couple, two strangers at the airport, who meet and spend the night in Paris. Both Victoria and Kyle are fictional characters. The story was inspired by the real life love story of Steve’s wife Becky Leman and his brother Daniel Hutensky who married each other in Rome in 2004 after meeting at their first performance together. In 2006, Daniel Hutensky wrote a song for Victoria called “Spin Me Around” which is the theme song for this romantic comedy novel of fiction.
