Haroldo Jacobovicz Loves Creating The Next Innovation
Haroldo Jacobovicz grew up in a
household where both parents were civil engineers. As a child, he was in awe
over their passion for their jobs. Jacobovicz went to school to become a civil
engineer. Instead of following in his parents’ footsteps, Jacobovicz’s interest
is in information technology . He was excited about the future of technology and
wanted to build something other than buildings. He wanted to create the next
innovation.
While in college, Haroldo Jacobovicz
recruited three friends to start a company. They founded Microsystem, which
designed technology to help stores automate their inve ntory and cash flow.
However, the company only lasted a year. According to Jacobovicz, the market
was not ready for this new technology. He knew one day there would be use for
it, so he held on to it.

In the meantime, Jacobovicz was
hired by Exxon Mobil and then Itaipa. After some time, it was time to revisit
his original idea. He founded Horizons Telecom . Instead of focusing on small
stores, his focus shifted to public agencies. Horizons Telecom can offer
agencies reliability and stability through state-of-the-art equipment and 100%
use of fiber optics. The company serves many different types of businesses,
large and small. Horizons Telecom provides various services, including
internet, backup, voice solutions , storage and data.
It is not all about technology with
Jacobovicz. In 2013, he was approached by other entrepreneurs to start a Hard
Rock Café in Brazil. Though Haroldo Jacobovicz was only in it for the investment, he
managed the cafe for a while. He finally sold it in 2018 but still considers it
a fun experience.
