Haroldo Jacobovicz- Founder of the Haroldo Jacobovicz Institute

Haroldo Jacobovicz, a native of Curitiba, Brazil is an extremely successful businessman. He strongly believes that with great success comes a great responsibility. With that on mind, he and his wife Sarita formed the Haroldo Jacobovicz Institute. Jacobovicz serves as president, his wife Sarita Zlotnik is vice president and his two daughters Karina and Valeria serve in high level positions. Relatively recently Jacobovicz once again brought the Institute under complete family control.

The purpose of the Haroldo Jacobovicz Institute is to serve the needs of the disadvantaged, elderly, youth, and animals. It supports day care centers, nursing homes, pet shelters, and institutions supporting research on cancer care, especially in children.

As the son of Polish and German Jews the culture of philanthropy was instilled in him as a young man. He feels that from a young age he was brought up to understand that a person’s individual success is based on the collective health, welfare, and well-being of the larger group.

One of the guiding principles of the institute is that of maintaining long term relationships. This is critically important to the non-profits for whom he provides funding. If you, as a non-profit leader, know that if you maintain the standards the Institute wants to see you can count on long term funding.

Among the new concepts for funding by the Institute are areas related to technology. This logical next step is as a result of Haroldo Jacobovicz’s business interests. In addition they are also seeking to do a project related to innovation and education.

The Jacobovicz family serves a role model for others wishing to share their financial and business success by giving back to the community in which they live and work.
