Doug Haynes

Doug HaynesDoug Hayne is an advisory board member at Point72, a $100B asset manager headquartered in New York City. Previously, he was President at Point72, where he managed the firm’s growth and built its investment team. Doug also holds other positions, including serving as Chairman of the Board for the Global Finance Innovation Association. He has been named one of the Top 100 Most Influential People by TheStreet.com, one of the Top 50 most influential advisors to CEOs by Chief Executive Magazine, and one of the Top 25 Wealth Advisors by Barron’s.

Mr. Haynes earned an MS in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University, where he was also a member of Tau Beta Pi and Pi Tau Sigma. He earned his MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate Business School. Mr. Haynes began his career working with Arthur Young & Co., where Doug Haynes became a partner in 1991. In 1993, he joined Lehman Brothers, serving as Managing Director of their Corporate Development Group. From 1996-1998, he worked as Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR).

Mr. J.P. Haynes is an advisor at Robin Hood Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to fight poverty in our communities. He is also a co-founder of Cohen Veteran’S Network. This nonprofit organization helps veterans suffering from a post-traumatic stress disorder, and traumatic brain injury gets the help they need. He is also working with other organizations to provide employment opportunities for veterans.

Forbes magazine has recognized Doug Haynes as one of the top 10 most influential people in philanthropy. He received the American Red Cross Medal of Honor for raising funds for disaster relief efforts following Hurricane Katrina. He was also honored by the United Way of America for his commitment to helping children.

He serves on the boards of several charitable organizations, including the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce; the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia; the Philadelphia School Partnership; the Philadelphia Orchestra; the Philadelphia Museum of Art; the Pennsylvania Ballet; the Philadelphia Opera Company; the Philadelphia Science Center; the Philadelphia Zoo; the Philadelphia Union Soccer Club; and the University of Pennsylvania.
