Decency on Display. Kelcy Warren

Some people have been raised a certain way. They know how to treat someone with courtesy and respect. A man by the name of Kelcy Warren is such a person. Kelcy Warren has come a long way in his long life, and he is now a recipient of the Horatio Alger Award in 2016.

It all began when he was a young man. His mother taught him not to say anything negative about people as well as not using foul language to get a point across. Kelcy Warren was taught to do things the right way whenever possible. These values have been instilled in him for many years.

As Kelcy Warren grew up he wanted to be a good student, and exemplify the values that his parents taught him. He was able to save up his money and go to college. He did not appreciate what he had because he had a very sheltered life in a very small town. He had to learn to grow up, and he learned from his experiences. He was able to regain his focus and do well at the University of Texas at Arlington. He did not want to take anything for granted anymore. This was the kick in the butt that he needed.

Kelcy was able to graduate with his degree in civil engineering. He was able to use in order to get his foot in the door when it came to the energy sector. This is where his talent really came to the forefront. He has been able to work with many people over the years, and give advice to the next generation of business leaders.
