Ben Roethlisberger Isn’t Your Typical Sports Star
Ben Roethlisberger was born in Ohio and grew up in Ohio. He had a loving family and a love of sports. To most people, Ben was your typical high school kid with dreams of grandeur. Unlike most kids, however, his dreams would soon become reality.
A Desire To Win
Nobody likes to lose. Few, however, hate it as much as Ben does. It’s no surprise then that he took this hate and turned it into fuel for his passion. By his final year of high school, he had become his team’s leading quarterback. This passion would also lead to him becoming Ohio’s Division I Offensive Player of the Year in 1999.
Ben Roethlisberger’s sports success wasn’t confined only to football, however. In basketball, he maintained a strong showing as senior point guard. His .300 hitter average as a shortstop in baseball rounded out his sport skills.
Moving Beyond The Field
Sports continue to serve as a major part of his life. Ben Roethlisberger, however, is more than just your typical jock. He is also a caring individual with a strong love for his family. This is an aspect of him that can be seen through his efforts in philanthropy. Through the Roethlisberger Family Foundation, he hopes to let families form stronger bonds alongside himself. His other projects in philanthropy include Light of Life and Neo Light. Like the Roethlisberger Family Foundation, these projects serve to help make the world a slightly better place for the people around him.
Two Sides
It isn’t easy balancing between the two sides of philanthropist and sports star. Ben Roethlisberger, however, continues to make it work. Whether it’s scoring a touchdown or offering meals to the homeless, Ben’s passion for life continues to light up the world of the people around him. Visit this page for more information.
