Happy Joe’s Leader in the Fast Food Industry

Tom Sacco, the CEO and Chief Happiness Officer of Happy Joe’s Pizza & Ice Cream is delighted to announce that two long-term managers will be their newest franchisees. Leslie Boynton and Heather Avery, who have a combined eighteen years in leadership and supervisory roles, look forward to broadening their enjoyable experiences as store managers.

Boynton is taking charge of operations at a new site in Galesburg, while Avery continues Happy Joe’s American Pizza Parlor presence as owner and operator in Kewanee. We are privileged to have veteran Happy Joe’s pizza parlor´s staff take over our two Illinois locations,” Sacco said. “They understand the fast food business better than anyone and want to craft a fun atmosphere that adds cheer to the community daily.

We expect more successes with Happy Joe’s in their hands and look forward to extending our reach throughout the state in due course. For the past eight years, Avery Boynton has been pleased to have the chance to spark so many grins from the customers and community members she interacted with. She admired Joe, the founder of Happy Joe’s, and learned a great deal from him due to his gracious attitude towards people. At Galesburg’s location of Happy Joe’s, Avery wants everyone who enters to be treated like family, feeling welcome, looked after and filled with joy!

Heathy Food Options at Happy Joe´s

Starting at 14 as an elder server and eventually becoming a shift coach by 26 years old, she believes in succeeding through hard work and determination, hoping to serve as an example for all young women who follow their goals. To pay tribute to her former mentor Robert Plum–who passed away last year–, there will be a memorial created in Kewanee Happy Joe’s restaurant.

Avery expressed her enthusiasm in demonstrating to her kids that a female can have a business and still maintain a family life with play dates, school duties, and more. She leads Happy Joe´s. She emphasized the value of excellent customer service that she learned from the American Pizza Parlor, proudly stating that she is honored to be part of such a respected organization aimed at brightening people’s days while participating in numerous community projects.
